Also known by Signature Lakes, this Orange County neighborhood is situated between Ficquette Road, New Independence Parkway, Hamlin Groves Trail, Summerlake Park Boulevard, and Seidel Road. The community of Independence range in size from 1,500 square feet to 6,000 square feet, with prices ranging from $200,000 to over $1,000,000. Homes in the area were first built in 2005 and there is ongoing new construction, with approximately 1,525 residences. Only 20 miles west of downtown Orlando and a short half-hour drive to Orlando International Airport, Independence is centrally located.

There’s plenty to do in the Signature Lakes area, with club houses, short drive to the many theme parks, four community pools, fitness center, boat ramp, fishing, dog park, bike trails, and tennis court. In addition, the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge is nearby Independence and there are lakefront properties available on Lake Hancock. There are also nature trails, children’s play area, basketball courts, and pedestrian trails. The community of Independence in Winter Garden is served by three local schools: Keene’s Crossing Elementary, Bridgewater Middle, and West Orange High. When entering the community, residents and guests are greeted by a 50 foot clock tower and a large reflection pond. Throughout the community, there are mature live oak trees and nature abounds. In fact, the community of Independence is home to a bald eagle refuge, something everyone can see and enjoy.
